A Somali-English Phrasebook for Public Service Workers
The first phrasebook of its kind for public service workers, it is structured around five dialogues on housing, policing, health centre, a primary school and a law centre contexts. The dialogues contain commonly used public service words and phrases. A set of key words precede each dialogue. It is aimed to help phrasebook users understand how words are used in the dialogues.
There are two vocabulary lists--Somali-English, and English-Somali as well as a list of hundred commonly used verbs—in the phrasebook in addition to a limited exposure to basic Somali language grammar.
