Who we are

Formerly The Scarman Trust Manchester, we are now the Novas Scarman Group - Manchester.

We provide neighbourhood based support for new and small voluntary and community groups across the city of Manchester.

Groups with an annual income of less than £50,000 will be able to receive a range of free support services, aimed at helping groups to better deliver services for their local communities or communities of interest.

What we do

We are committed to working alongside you or your group, by listening to your needs and supporting you to reach your goals.

We offer support and guidance for you to make a difference to your communities, in the way you want.

We have access to local and national networks and resources enabling you to choose training in areas such as finance, planning, IT and management skills.

Infrastructure Support Services Questionnaire

Manchester City Council are conducting a survey about infrastructure support services being used by voluntary and community groups in the city of Manchester. They need as many voluntary and community groups as possible to complete the survey.

This is a chance for you to give your feedback.

The information received will be used to inform the next commissioning process to invite tenders for the work currently delivered by Novas Scarman Group. It will also identify gaps in provision.

Please take the time to complete the survey (it should only take about 10-15 minutes), as this is your opportunity to comment upon services you have received and also say what you would like to see.

To access the questionnaire please visit: www.manchester.gov.uk/scarman or ring Madeleine on 0161 234 3141 for a paper copy.

Working Together: A Compact for Manchester

The Compact is an agreement between public bodies and the voluntary and community sector setting out how they relate to each other. It is the framework for working together in a spirit of trust and respect and provides the basis to address many important issues.
